Charter Information Portal (ChIP)

Users must have their unique (non-DOE) login credentials to access the portal. The portal allows users to:

  • Update key contacts
  • Add people to the Charter School Weekly subscription list
  • Submit key documents
  • Review all information (phone numbers, board members, etc.) the NYCDOE has on file for your charter
  • Coming soon: Automatically update key information for your charter's Find a School page

NYC Charter Schools SharePoint

Resources located on the New York City Charter Schools SharePoint are designed to connect charter school administrators, staff and stakeholders with resources and information needed for operating charter schools.

Sign Language Interpreters

Deaf and Hard of Hearing parents, guardians, students and staff have a legal right to communication access in Charter Schools. The NYC DOE Office of Sign Language Interpreting Services (OSLIS) provides free American Sign Language interpretation to Charter Schools upon request.

Charter School Rental Assistance

The New York City Department of Education (DOE's) FY2024 policy reimburses New York City charter schools that are entitled to receive rental assistance pursuant to a decision issued by the New York State Commissioner of Education, binding arbitration, or an Article 78 proceeding (Decision). This policy applies to all charter schools, regardless of authorizer. The framework for the process is based upon §2853(3)(e) of the New York State Charter Schools Act (Act).

Rocket Terminal Emulator (RTE) will be Replacing Web Connect
