Telework/Remote Work

This page was last updated on December 3, 2024 at 3:01 PM.

The Department of Education recently implemented telework options for represented and non-represented Central employees.

Represented employees in eligible titles may participate in a telework pilot program for remote work with approval of their supervisor and division head. Employees seeking to participate should reach out to their supervisors.

Non-represented employees may telework up to two (2) days per week with the permission of their supervisor and division head, and subject to the terms and conditions of telework.

If you are eligible for telework, you will be required to complete a Remote Work Acknowledgement form before you can begin teleworking. This form will be provided to you by your supervisor. Your signed form, which confirms your agreement to the rules of teleworking, is required to be submitted and signed by your supervisor and division head before you can begin teleworking. A copy of the signed form will be given to your Human Resources Director (HRD) and stored in your employee file.
