Overview

The Management Benefits Fund (MBF) was established by the City to provide supplemental benefits to the non-unionized personnel of the City of New York, which includes all managerial, confidential, and original jurisdiction employees and retirees. The fund receives on behalf of its members, as do the municipal labor unions, an annual contribution from the City for the provision of these ancillary employee benefits.

All MBF benefits, with the exception of Group Universal Life Insurance, are fully paid for by the Fund. Enrollment in the MBF is not automatic, you must complete the MBF Form 1060 as part of the employee onboarding process with the Department of Education.
