What is HR Connect?

HR Connect is the one-stop shop for general human resources (HR) information and employee customer service for NYC Public Schools (NYCPS). We offer accurate, up-to-date answers to the HR concerns of all NYCPS employees, applicants, and former employees through:

  • The HR Connect Web Portal - Available to all NYCPS employees, applicants, and former employees, HR Connect's extensive knowledge base contains answers to human resources questions at every stage of your career.
    • Use the HR Connect Web Portal to find answers 24/7 to your questions about:
      • Health Benefits
      • Leaves of Absence
      • Onboarding
      • Certification
      • Personal and Tax Data Changes
      • General Payroll and Salary Information
      • Retiring
      • and More…
    • You can also upload supporting documents needed to complete HR transactions and monitor and update the status of submitted service requests.
  • The HR Connect Service Center - Visit our Service Center to obtain your NYCPS photo ID card and/or I-9 verification (by appointment only)

With just a few clicks, you can easily access HR resources and forms, securely submit your documentation for various HR processes, and monitor the status of your service requests in real-time.

 What services are not managed by HR Connect?

  • Employee-specific information such as timekeeping and payroll adjustments, work schedules, time-off balances, ratings, and tenure are managed by your payroll secretary/timekeeper.
  • Employee-specific information regarding hiring, terminations, and civil service titles are managed by your supervisor and/or HR Director (HRD).
