Professional Learning and Resources

Advance

Advance, the DOE's teacher development and evaluation system, engages teachers in reflecting on both student learning data and meaningful feedback from school leaders, so they can learn, grow, and thrive as professionals. All full-time K-12 classroom teachers who maintain active status for at least six cumulative calendar months during the current school year are evaluated under Advance.

Teachers can access developmental tools on the WeTeachNYC website to support their continuous reflection and growth and the Advance InfoHub page for up-to-date Advance policy and implementation guidance.
