About ShopDOE
ShopDOE(Open external link) is a purchasing and planning portal that allows users,including non-public schools, to browse a catalog of products and services offered by NYC Public Schools (NYCPS) contracted vendors. The portal provides a modern search experience similar to many online retail websites. on-public school staff can proceed directly to checkout and place their orders directly through FAMIS.
Note: Orders computer hardware, including desktops, laptops/notebooks and printers must continue to be placed directly through the FAMIS Portal using the hardware e-catalog.
How the Platform Works
ShopDOE is an integrated platform consisting of three portals: Catalog, Shopping Portal, and Catalog Admin, which together support the complete catalog management and purchasing lifecycle.
ShopDOE Catalog - Vendors [Link]
The ShopDOE Catalog is the vendor-facing portal where vendors manage and submit catalog information for NYCPS contracts.Once products are approved by NYCPS, they become available for users to view and purchase through the ShopDOE Shopping Portal.
Vendors may access the ShopDOE Catalog only using their DOE external email address ending in @doeexternal.nyc, which is obtained through the Vendor Portal registration process.
Vendors who have not yet registered for Vendor Portal access should follow the instructions provided in the How to Register guide.
ShopDOE Shopping Portal - [Link]
The Shopp[ng Portal allows NYCPS users to search, review, and purchase approved products. Users can:
Search by keyword or category
Review vendor and contract information
Create and submit purchase orders.
Shopping Portal Access
Non-Public School (NPS) Users
To access ShopDOE, NPS users must have a DOE External (EU) Single Sign-On account ending in@doeexternal.nyc. Personal email accounts cannot be used to access the application.
To obtain a DOE External User account, your school’s NPSIS Administrator must submit a “Create External User” request through the NPSIS Portal.

Vendors
Vendors may access the ShopDOE Catalog only using their DOE external email address ending in @doeexternal.nyc, obtained through the Vendor Portal registration process.
