November Class Size Report for 2024-2025

These documents reflect the reporting requirements under Local Law 522 on Class Size.

Since 2007, NYCPS reports on class sizes as of 10/31 twice a year, with a preliminary report on 11/15 (November) and an updated (February) report on 2/15. Beginning with the 2023-24 school year, NYCPS now also reports on class sizes as of 6/15 with a report on 6/30. As in previous class size reports, the 2024-25 November Class Size Report uses a point-in-time “snapshot” of the data. The data presented in the November report reflects unaudited enrollment information pulled from the Department of Education’s systems as of 10/31/24 for grades K-5 and first term information for middle school and high school courses. 

June Class Size Report for 2023-2024

These documents reflect the reporting requirements under Local Law 522 on Class Size. For required class size reporting implementation under NYS Education Law Section 211-d requiring New York City to report on the progress of implementing new class size caps, see this document.
